We are indeed in a world that wants “more.” But, how much is too much. When it comes to this ridiculous battle of megapixels, I try to stay on the sidelines. I really don’t have the answers or the patience to explain why more is better.
I recently had a month to shoot with a Hasselblad H3 with a Phase One P45 (45megapixel) digital back. Basically, that last sentence translate to “badass camera with a mortgage attached to the back of it, that spits out really big files.”
I was having fun zooming in on some of the shots I got and it made me laugh, cringe and realize that i never want to be shot with this thing.
Here are a few samples…
Just took a yoga class and that was my little nugget for the day. We spend all of our energy rewarding ourselves for the results, when really its all about how we got there. Enjoy the ride people…..
Here’s a shot of Rob from a recent personal project on Yoga that I am working on. More to come…
Just let it happen. Watch a leaf fall the sky, see how the morning sun falls in your living room, listen to the words of a good writer. Inspiration is all around us, we just have to open ourselves up to it and let it in.
i was stuck in a YouTube vortex the other day with Ben Horan and found this HOT CHIP VIDEO. Just watch it. I found it pretty inspiring. A lot of time, effort and creativity went to making this.

I originally wanted to name this one PHOTOGRAPHY IS… FAKE, because in so many ways it is. I mean there is also a lot raw honesty in a photo, but as an artist, the photographer can really make it say what he/she wants it to say. Thats the fun part. We search for the truth in every way we can, and if don’t find it, then we make it say what we think it says.
Photography is about the steps it takes to get to the point of pushing the shutter. Pressing the button is the easy part.
Sometimes its exhausting to keep up with. We developed our first email promo at the end of last year that is being sent out for the next 2 months to every art director in the Western world. If were lucky, 5 of them will open it.
You can follow our little journey to full photo world saturation takeover right from the comfort of your office chair.
Its called PHOTOGRAPHY IS…
its lots of things, so we’ve named a few.

Apple: “Reinventing the Wheel”. Damn, i should write headlines for a living.
Here we are, all set up and no one to shoot. I thought i would post this shot. Something about really jumped out at me. Want my real world analogy: Art imitates life, right? When you step back and take a look at all the details that go into something, you realize the effects it has on the its surroundings. Awkward, out of place and beautiful all at once.
